Cox Delivers Five-Podium Weekend at Talladega in Breakout Performance
TALLADEGA, Ala. — Landon Cox delivered one of the most impressive performances of his young career this past weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, earning podium finishes in all five classes he entered — a rare and remarkable achievement at the national level.
Competing across Sr. Animal, Sr. Honda, Lt. World Formula, Lt. 160, and Mod. World Formula divisions, the Monroe, Georgia native showcased both speed and consistency throughout the demanding multi-class event.
Cox led the way with two victories, capturing wins in both Mod. World Formula and World Formula, while adding runner-up finishes in Sr. Honda and Lt. 160. He capped off the weekend with a third-place finish in Sr. Animal, completing a clean sweep of podium finishes across all five divisions.
The performance marks the first time Cox has finished on the podium in all five classes at a national event, highlighting a major milestone in his development.
Racing across multiple divisions in a single weekend requires not only speed, but adaptability, focus, and a strong team effort behind the scenes. Cox and his crew managed each transition seamlessly, keeping all five cars competitive against some of the toughest young drivers in the country.
“This weekend means a lot,” Cox said. “To be able to compete in five classes and finish on the podium in all of them is something I’m really proud of. I can’t thank my team and everyone who supports me enough for all the hard work that made this possible.”
The Talladega performance further establishes Cox as one of the rising talents in the NASCAR Youth Series, continuing to build momentum through strong results and valuable seat time across multiple divisions.
Cox will look to carry that momentum into his next event at Circuit of the Americas, where he is set to compete with River City Quarter Midget Association from May 7–9.
