Landon Cox Continues Hot Streak with Two Wins at Circuit of the Americas
AUSTIN, Texas (May 10, 2026) — Landon Cox continued one of the hottest streaks in the NASCAR Youth Series this past weekend, delivering another impressive multi-podium performance while taking home two coveted Red Ryder BB Gun trophies during competition at Circuit of the Americas.
For those unfamiliar with the NASCAR Youth Series, the young drivers compete on temporary oval tracks constructed inside major venues and facilities across the country. This weekend’s event was hosted at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), one of the most recognizable motorsports destinations in North America and home to Formula 1’s United States Grand Prix.
Competing against some of the top young racers in the country, Cox showcased speed and consistency across multiple divisions throughout the weekend.
Cox captured victories in both the Sr Animal and Light 160 divisions, adding two more major wins to an already impressive 2026 season. The young Georgia driver also scored a second-place finish in Senior Honda and a third-place result in World Formula, continuing his remarkable consistency at the national level.
In the Mod division, Cox appeared poised for yet another podium finish before weather moved into the Austin area late in the event. Rain shortened the race before Cox could complete his charge through the field, forcing the talented young driver to settle for fourth despite having one of the fastest cars on track and a legitimate shot at another podium result.
The weekend marked another milestone for the rising NASCAR Youth Series standout. Over the last two national events, Cox has now recorded an incredible nine podium finishes in 10 feature races, firmly establishing himself as one of the top young talents in quarter midget racing.
The Red Ryder BB Gun trophies awarded during the COTA weekend remain among the most sought-after prizes in youth motorsports, making Cox’s double-win performance even more memorable.
Up next, the NASCAR Youth Series heads west to the Good Times Quarter Midget Association at Madera Speedway on May 22nd, where Cox will look to continue his impressive run of momentum.
